On February 5, 2026, the Collective Response Initiative York (CRIY) brought partners together for its third Annual Meeting at the Church of the Open Door – East York Campus. The event gathered community leaders, service providers, people with lived experience, and system partners to reflect on progress from the past year and to deepen shared priorities moving forward.
The meeting highlighted the continued growth of CRIY as a collective impact effort in York County. Since the launch of CRIY in 2024, partners have moved beyond alignment and into shared implementation. In 2025, the Blueprint served as a guide for planning, accountability, and collaboration, helping organizations see how their work fits into a larger, countywide strategy. Opening remarks from York County President Commissioner Julie Wheeler reinforced the County’s commitment to using opioid settlement funds responsibly to support long term prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts.
Participants took part in three interactive breakout sessions aligned with the Blueprint for Action goals. Discussions focused on reducing or delaying the onset of substance use, improving access and retention in treatment and services, and increasing recovery capital. Conversations highlighted practical approaches such as engaging youth and families through meaningful activities, improving coordination and communication between service providers, expanding awareness of peer support services, and using storytelling to reduce stigma and strengthen community connection.
The Annual Meeting also featured a Wins and Successes showcase that highlighted progress across CRIY work groups. Displays shared accomplishments from the past year, including new collaborative learning opportunities, recovery focused community events, cross agency partnerships, and tools designed to support individuals and families impacted by substance use.
The 2026 CRIY Annual Meeting reflected the strength of collective action in York County and the continued commitment of partners working together toward systems level change.
