At a time when much of the focus is on protecting our community from the spread of COVID-19, it also remains crucial we stay vigilant about other public health threats. The work against the devastating effects of substance use on our community cannot stop. Addiction does not seize to exist during a pandemic, but can be exacerbated due to isolation, uncertainty and fear. The recommendations being placed forth by the CDC, DOH and other state organizations may place added measures to the delivery of services, but services will remain to serve those in need of critical behavioral health services. To assist our community partners during this time, the York Opioid Collaborative has developed a list of local resources to assist during this difficult time. It is important we continue the spirit of the collaborative by encouraging ongoing cross-sector collaboration and communication.
